20 South - South Knowledge Exchange Participants Enjoy the Atmosphere in Kota Tua

20 participants of South-South Knowledge Exchange Workshop, Tuesday (12/17) conducted side visit in Kota Tua, Taman Sari, West Jakarta. They were very enjoying the atmosphere during the tour.

Accompanied by Kota Tua Management Unit (UPK) Head, Norviadi S. Husodo, they had a tour around Kota Tua, started from Kali Besar to Jakarta History Museum.

Besides, participants also gained further information related to Kota Tua at Jakarta History Museum's Theater Room.

In this chance, he explained about collaboration between his side with the locals and State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) who own the historical buildings in Kota Tua in order to preserve and take care those buildings.

"Historical buildings in Kota Tua should be maintained well. We will give reward for the building owners who maintain it well by facilitating the license process and giving them award," he conveyed.

Through this visit, he mentioned that Kali Besar revitalization was inspired by Cheonggyecheon River in Seoul, South Korea.

"The point is, it needs one coordination, synchronization, and detailed actions to develop Kota Tua," he asserted.
